Since
1963, Newhall Escrow has taken pride
in its ability to consistently and swiftly
close the simplest to most complex of
escrows. The company has a well deserved
reputation because of its outstanding
track record and know-how that only
thousands of escrow scenerios and decades
of experience can produce. Newhall Escrow
combines prompt, courteous customer
service with state-of-the-art computer
supported escrow processing.
Our staff can provide complimentary
delivery of escrow instructions and
documents to real estate offices within
24 hours. Remember, no two escrows are
alike due to special provisions and
contingencies that reflect our changing
times. Newhall Escrow’s loyal clientele
can be assured of at least one consistent
market condition — our absolute professionalism.
Over the years, the transaction process
has gotten extremely complex. Contracts
used to be a page or two, now eight to
12 pages is not uncommon. Escrows today
are like snowflakes... no two are exactly
alike. There are many more details, conditions
and terms to keep track of, enough to
look like a blizzard to the less experienced.
At Newhall Escrow, decades of experience
help you avoid potential hazzards and
pitfalls along the way, resulting in a
worry-free transition for you. Our staff
of dedicated and experienced professionals
use a state-of-the-art computer system
to track every step of the escrow process.
This allows us to keep you informed and
assures that the conditions and requirements
of all parties are satisfied in a timely
manner.
We know that once you have made a decision,
you’d like it to be taken care of quickly
and efficiently. Our entire staff, from
the receptionist to the owner, is dedicated
to making your escrow experience a pleasant
one. We’ve successfully closed thousands
of escrows in our 40 plus years.
Realtors have honored Newhall Escrow
by making us the escrow company of choice.
Newhall Escrow Company is licensed by
the State of California, Department of
Corporations. Our office is conveniently
located just off the I-5 on Lyons Avenue.
We look forward to serving you.
Steve
Corn
With over 14 years of experience
behind him, Steve took over the
family business in 2004, after his
father, Ron Corn, had decided it
was time to retire after working
in the real estate industry for
over 40 years. As promised, Steve
and his staff have continued the
tradition of providing state-of-the-art
processing and personalized attention
to detail.
Prior to entering the business
in 1990, Steve had worked as the
Western Regional Manager for Siemens
(German Co. headquartered in Munich),
but had reached a level of management
that would have required him to
relocate in order to advance his
career. After much consideration,
he joined the family business
in an effort to learn a new trade
with the goal of taking over the
business when his Dad was to retire.
Having seen many changes over
the years, Steve says the biggest
change is mainly the complexity
of the escrow processing and new
regulations.
Shelly Kanke
Shelly came to Newhall Escrow Company mid 2004 as Senior Assistant to Steve Corn, where she learned to independently trouble shoot and solve problems. Mainstreaming her expertise and experience, Shelly quickly reached her main goal, to become an Escrow Officer in December 2005.
Having worked in the Escrow Industry since early 2001, Shelly started out as a receptionist and in less than 6 months, advanced to become an assistant for a Senior Escrow Officer, where her duties included processing escrow files, managing trust accounting, as well as the training of personnel. Her back round consists mostly of Resale, Commercial, Vacant land, 1031 Exchanges and Refinances, bringing a diverse level of experience to each transaction.
Shelly likes the fast pace and complexity the industry has to offer. “My main goal is complete customer satisfaction and I feel great when I know a transaction has gone smooth because of my hard work”, says Shelly
Dianne Keefe-Bonnell
Dianne began her escrow career in 1972 at United California Bank in Santa Maria,
CA. After completing her AA Degree in business from Allan Hancock College, she
continued her career in the escrow industry by joining with First American Title in
San Luis Obispo. She first became an escrow officer in 1978 after the birth of her
first child.
Moving to Southern California in 1979, she worked as an escrow officer in the San
Gabriel Valley until 1984 at which time she relocated to the Valencia area and has
remained a resident and an escrow officer of the Santa Clarita Valley until present.
Dianne has been a Notary Public since 1978 and was awarded the professional
designation by the California Escrow Association of a “Certified Escrow Officer” in

state escrow associations and continuing educational credits that are required. She
was involved in the founding of the local region “Santa Clarita Valley Escrow
Association” in 1992, having been elected President of that association three times,
and is currently appointed the Senior State Director to the California Escrow
Association for the local region.

Valley during the past 25 years in this area, and has developed strong relationships
with many of the major real estate firms, brokers and agents in the area.
Dianne has shown her passion for the escrow industry by maintaining her
involvement in the state and local associations, passing along knowledge gained
from these associations to her peers and associates.
